This service is for ruby and sapphire only. Diamonds are not covered.

Great Burma International, Bangkok Gem Tower. Fast and economical, with photographic documentation and a star rating for cut, clarity and symmetry.

• Basic ID Card: gemstone summary, photographs, and natural vs. synthetic identification.
• ID + Origin Report: full identification and photographic documentation, plus country-of-origin determination.

AGL Thai Lab

Asian Gemmological Laboratory, Bangkok. Widely accepted across the Thai and regional trade, with reliable heat and treatment detection. Every report is verifiable online.

• Identification Report: species and variety, plus treatment and enhancement detection. Stones of 0.20 ct and above.
• Full Report + Origin: the detailed report format with country-of-origin determination. Stones of 1.00 ct and above.

How it works

2. We submit the stone to your chosen laboratory on your behalf.
3. The stone ships to you together with its report once issued.

Please note

• Turnaround varies by laboratory and workload. GBI is typically the fastest.
• A laboratory report states what the stone is. Neither we nor the laboratory can guarantee a particular result, including a specific origin. Origin determination is an expert opinion, and a laboratory will sometimes return an inconclusive origin.
• Certification fees are non-refundable once a stone has been submitted to the laboratory.
• If your stone falls below the minimum weight for the report you select, we will contact you before submission.
